Month Top:

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 touching down at LZ-1 about a mile behind Relativity’s Terran 1 rocket on the launch pad at LC-16 in December 2022, but perspectively aligned from my point of view at SLC-34 in Cape Canaveral, Florida. Relativity’s Terran 1 rocket was preparing for liftoff and Space Launch Delta 45 permitted media the unique opportunity to view the Falcon 9 launch and landing from this historic site: SLC-34, the site of the Apollo 1 disaster.

If you stood in just the right spot, you could align the landing rocket and the other standing on its launchpad preparing for flight. This was the first time I captured this special alignment!

Month bottom:

Rocket Lab’s maiden flight from LC-2 of their Electron rocket (Virginia Is For Launch Lovers) at Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. Captured in a single, long-exposure image from the roof of nearby Minotaur IV launch pad (with many thanks to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport personnel who permitted this capture) just to the south of LC-2, you can see Electron’s entire path toward the northeasterly orbit it flew!
