Today is my girlfriend Alex’s birthday. We setup a tripod and the 10 second timer this past week for a picture in front of each lighthouse and I wanted to wish her a happy 22nd birthday by dedicating today’s photo story to some of my favorite photos of us at each lighthouse.

First, we stopped at Saint Joseph on our way going north:

Sunny day in Grand Traverse:

Little Sable Point:

“Jump!”

“No”

“Jump!!”

“Ok, fine :)”

Big Sable (smaller than Little Sable) was freezing, but worth the 2 mile hike each way.

Muskegon light:

Leaning against Big Red. Her favorite, I think.

Cool NOAA mural on the wall of a building we were standing behind to avoid the 30mph winds.

Please, no pictures:

White River Light Station:

A freezing, Old Mission Light:

South Haven, our last stop of the trip:

Frankfort at Sunset:

Alex and Point Betsie:

Alex would catch the Mavic after each flight and I had to snap a photo one of those times, at the Manistee light:

In the middle of a snowy road in Frankfort:

Watching the sunset over Lake Michigan the Traverse City peninsula:

She will be traveling to Colorado in May for an internship. I’ll miss you this summer but I couldn’t be more excited for you. 22 is going to be a big year and I am glad to be by your side along for the ride. So glad I have these photos and memories from this trip to look back on and can’t wait for the next adventure.
