A few of my favorite photos I took while hiking in Torrey Pines State Reserve!

La Jolla, CA–After driving up and parking at the top of Torrey Pines, we began hiking around the Reserve.

The first sight that caught my eye on the hike was this silhouette scene:

I also published this one in color:

but I can’t decide which I like better.

Got some really amazing aerials as well, it was a beautiful day for it:

The late-afternoon sunlight on the bluffs was just awesome.

Topped off with the waves crashing into the beach, it was awesome.

Back on the ground, watched the final sunset light from the end of Yucca-Point Trail:

As the sun fell, the clouds near the horizon became apparent and the sun quickly dashed behind it.

But not before I could make a photo of it.

After the sun fell behind the clouds, we began our walk back to the car.

On our hike back, I again noticed that silhouette scene, this time from much closer and with some awesome post-sunset yellows and oranges.

what a way to cap off an afternoon in Torrey Pines State Reserve!
