Purdue 89 – 74 Nebraska

14,846 piled in on Saturday, January 31st, 2016 at 4:30 PM as the now 19-4 #21 Boilermakers faced off vs. the Nebraska Huskers in Mackey Arena.Purdue has been very impressive at home this year, 14-1 now with each of those wins coming by a spread of 11 or more points.

Senior, AJ  Hammons was the star of the night, going 14 of 17 from the field. He collected his 20th career double-double and set a career high record with 32 points, overtaking the 30 points he scored against Indiana three years ago to the day. Hammons became the first Purdue player with a 30-10 game since Robbie Hummel had 35 points and 10 rebounds against Ohio State on Jan 12th, 2010 and jumped to 22nd on Purdue’s all-time top scoring list with 1,400 total points.

Haas also had a solid night going 5 for 6 with 13 points, a rebound, and a block

Purdue’s 58.9 field goal percentage was its highest against a Big Ten opponent since shooting 59.5 percent at Wisconsin on Jan. 27, 2009.

AJ Hammons was all smiles, all night.
